One-Minute Snapshot
Ghostwriting is custom digital work, so once we’ve started writing there’s no “stock” to return. Still, we keep things fair:
- 100 % refund if you cancel at least 48 hours before the Zoom kickoff interview.
- 75 % refund (we keep 25 % to cover work already done) if you cancel within 24 hours after receiving your first-chapter draft.
- No refunds after that point because the bulk of the service has been delivered.
This structure complies with U.S. FTC guidance on limited-refund notices, European digital-content rules, and California’s “displayed policy” standard.
1. Scope
This policy covers any ghostwriting, editing, or add-on service purchased through BlitzWriters.com or our direct invoices. Because every manuscript is bespoke, the work is treated as custom digital content under EU, UK, and U.S. consumer regulations.

3. How to Request a Refund
- Email support@blitzwriters.com with subject line “Refund Request – [Project Title]”.
- Include purchase date, the email tied to the order, and a brief reason (helps us improve).
- We’ll confirm within 2 business days. Qualified refunds are pushed via Stripe; banks usually post the credit in 5–10 business days.
4. Chargebacks & Disputes
Please contact us first—chargebacks can freeze your funds for up to 120 days and add fees on both sides. If a dispute is filed, we may share signed agreements, delivery logs, and manuscript excerpts with the card issuer to demonstrate work performed.
5. Regional Notes
- EU/EEA & UK – Under the Digital Content Directive and UK Consumer Contracts Regs, the 14-day right to withdraw ends once performance begins with your express consent (joining the kickoff call counts). Statutory remedies (repeat performance or price reduction) still apply if we fail to deliver.
- California & other U.S. states – California allows limited-refund policies if clearly displayed before purchase, which this page provides.
6. Exceptions & Edge Cases
- Force Majeure – Events beyond our control (e.g., platform outages, natural disasters) pause but don’t void this policy.
- Fraud or Abuse – We may refuse refunds to accounts flagged for payment fraud or repeated chargebacks.
- Third-Party Costs – Fees paid to illustrators, ISBN vendors, or printers are refundable only if those providers allow it.
7. Policy Changes
We may update this policy to reflect service tweaks or legal changes. Material changes appear here at least 14 days before taking effect.
